The following explanatory notes apply to specific courses in the Fall 2008 schedule. The notes correspond to the numbers that appear in the column headed "Footnote."

course is restricted to classified graduate students in the MACD, MAGE, MSCC, or

Prerequisites for Independent Study courses are: a minimum overall grade-point
average of 3.0; consent of instructor; and departmental approval of a written
proposal of a project submitted prior to the quarter in which the course is to
be taken submitted. Students should check with the appropriate department
concerning unit limitations and to obtain the standard application for filing.
